Delta Waterfowl Duck Expo is Coming to Des Moines

For the first time ever, the Delta Waterfowl Duck Hunters Expo is coming to Iowa. It is shaping up to be one of the biggest outdoor events of the summer. Waterfowl hunters from across the country will gather in Des Moines for three full days of duck hunting culture, conservation, gear, and competition.

Mark your calendars for July 24-26, 2026, when the fifth annual Duck Hunters Expo comes to the Iowa Events Center. For Iowa hunters, this is a rare chance to experience one of the leading waterfowl events in North America right here.

Things To Do

Visitors can watch some of the best callers in the country compete in the Delta Grand National Calling Championship. Hunters can also walk through Delta’s Hunting Heritage Booths. Next,  check out the latest gear and equipment, and meet companies and organizations from across the outdoor industry. Going to this expo, whether you’re a waterfowl hunter, or just starting to dabble, will get you ready and excited for fall.

One of the highlights of the weekend will be Friday night’s Duck Hunters Grand Banquet. The evening will include raffles, live auctions, great food, and plenty of stories shared among fellow waterfowl hunters. Saturday’s Champions of Delta Luncheon will also celebrate conservation efforts and the future of waterfowl hunting.

The Iowa outdoor community is proud to welcome this event to the state. The Iowa Sportsman is excited to help sponsor the expo and will have a booth set up during the weekend. Stop by and see us while you are there. We would love to meet fellow hunters, talk waterfowl, and hear your stories, and share some photos.

Whether you are a lifelong duck hunter or someone looking to get started, the expo offers a great chance to connect with other hunters who share the same passion. From duck calls and decoys to boats, blinds, dogs, and conservation, it is all under one roof.

The timing could not be better either. With the 2026-2027 waterfowl season just around the corner, the expo gives hunters a chance to gear up, learn new tips, and get fired up for fall flights.
