    I used to fish tournaments years ago on that pool. My Dad and I always fished a place on the Illinois side across the river from the ramp. You went into the shoot aways and then turned left and it led you back to a huge open area that the locals said was their own private lake. It is great fishing. Just can’t remember the name of it. One tournament a local was giving my partner all kinds of crap and my partner said you don’t want me to climb into your boat and kick your a** do you. LOL

    Just finished my latest batch. I used th ebrisket marinade, 1/4 cup brown sugar, but this time used red pepper flakes. Turned out much better.

    Here are the ingredients: Water, Natural Hickory Wood Smoke, Salt, Onion, Garlic And Black Pepper, Polysorbate 80 And Dimethypolysiloxane, Acitic Acid, Vinegar, Hydrolyzed Corn & Wheat, Gluten Protein (A Wheat Derivative), Sugar, Molasses, Carmel Color, Soyboen Oil (A Soy Derivative0, 2% Tetrasodium Pyrophosphate, Propylene Glycal Papain Sodium Citirite, Citric Acid, 0.1% Sodium Benzoate.

    I have a batch marinating in the brisket and another in the hickory. I always add about a teaspoon of Cayenne Pepper and a ¼ cup brown sugar as well. Gives it a little sweet and spicy flavor.
