A friend of mine got 2nd place in the State of South Dakota with this easy recipe. Peel the membrane off the bone side of the ribs. Rub both sides with Sesame Seed oil (found in the Oriental section), sprinkle garlic salt, season salt and course ground pepper on both sides. Slow cook on your charcoal or gas grill. They are AWESOME!webbgolf1ParticipantMay 27, 2010 at 7:51 pmPost count: 243webbgolf1ParticipantApril 14, 2010 at 6:08 pmPost count: 243webbgolf1ParticipantApril 12, 2010 at 6:52 pmPost count: 243webbgolf1ParticipantApril 9, 2010 at 1:46 pmPost count: 243

I went out yesterday and used trout powerbait in green and yellow and caught my limit in about an hour. It was alot of fun. I wish they would keep stocking this lake since it is so close to my home. Banner is fun to fish at, but, it takes a little while to get there. Now, I just need to figure out how to cook these trout, any ideas for grilling them? I gutted them and froze them and would like to try some different grilling ideas.
Skin them and rub butter on them. Salt & Pepper and Lemon(optional) Add onions to the top. Wrap them in foil and put them on the grill. They are excellent!webbgolf1ParticipantMarch 30, 2010 at 1:42 pmPost count: 243webbgolf1ParticipantMarch 15, 2010 at 7:06 pmPost count: 243webbgolf1ParticipantFebruary 26, 2010 at 8:48 pmPost count: 243
Back in the late 80’s I was a senior in high school. I had hunted and fished my whole life. One Friday night my neighbor asked me if I wanted to go duck hunting the next day. I said sure why not. I had never been duck hunting but he promised to show me the ropes. We asked another neighbor to go as well. The next morning I got up and headed for the neighbors house. No lights were on yet. So I walked across the street to the other neighbors house. It was still dark out. When I walked into his garage I walked right into the open door of his El Camino. Not thinking I closed the door and knocked on the house door. Then I hear yeah I’ll be right there. But the voice was coming from the car. Sure enough he was asleep (passed out) in his car. I thought oh great. By then my other neighbor was up, so we headed for Jake’s at Lake Odessa. We signed in, then my one neighbor said stop by this port a potty so I can take a dump before we go. He was in there a couple minutes and all of a sudden we hear him cussing like a sailor. It seems as though when he went to wipe, someone had taken a dump on the back of the stool, and he put his hand right in it. Me and the other neighbor were laughing our butts off. My neighbor who wasn’t in the bathroom said I bet you thought your A**hole moved didn’t you. So we headed down to where we were going to hunt. Now mind you I had never been duck hunting before. When we 1st got there, I said is this what we shoot? Neighbor said yes, so I pulled the trigger and winged it pretty bad, then my other neighbor finished it off. After we were done hunting he handed me the duck, and said it was dying when I shot it. I said cool. He then said, does it have a band around its leg. I said yes, is it supposed to? He was mad that the 1st duck I had ever shot was banded.webbgolf1ParticipantFebruary 12, 2010 at 2:23 pmPost count: 243webbgolf1ParticipantJanuary 27, 2010 at 7:56 pmPost count: 243

I had a friend that caught a big brown trout this weekend and would like to get it mounted. I would like some names of a good taxidermist in the Des Moines area that does a nice job on fish. Thanks for your reply.
I have good friends at Lake Fork Taxidermy that do an amazing job. Theirs are replica’s, but look alive. Their number is 903-765-9999. You can take a picture of your fish and email it to them with measurements. Check them out at http://www.lakeforktaxidermy.com Tell them Jeff Webb (Jig Jel) from Iowa sent you.webbgolf1ParticipantDecember 30, 2009 at 8:07 pmPost count: 243
