I was trout fishing with a worm and got snagged in the weeds when I pulled it in. The worm fell off during the snag, but I found a small caterpillar perfectly hooked right in it’s place. If I fish every day for the rest of my life that will probably never happen again.stick500ParticipantApril 13, 2010 at 12:57 amPost count: 457stick500ParticipantMarch 25, 2010 at 3:06 amPost count: 457
best bullhead tip I have is to use a hook with a long shank- keeps ’em from swallowing hooks every time
also, as someone mentioned earlier, hot dog chunks work great
my hotspot was a small pond for many years and then they all seemed to disappear- don’t know whystick500ParticipantFebruary 24, 2010 at 9:44 pmPost count: 457
Calvin, you’re a madman!
How do you figure out where in the mighty Mississippi those monsters are stacked up?
I’d like to give it a try in the Dubuque area. Iowa snaggers have it made. It’s illegal to snag for any fish in WI or MN.
Does anyone know if there’s any of this action below the dam by Monticello, IA (Maquoketa River) south of DBQ?
