Hey George, irony and sarcasm, learn it, know it understand it. That said, the fact that you asked a question two days ago and it has not been answered by an admin is the root of this sites problem. No one corrects the issues, no one markets it and no one maintains it. In other words no one cares. You could get an intern from any college to do all of this for free.
Sarcasm entails a few things: one of them is intellect, another one is a sense of humor, and a third - not taking things too personally.llewellinsetterBlockedApril 1, 2019 at 2:14 pmPost count: 2514

The idea that one should have to contact the webmaster every time they post a link or a photo to a thread is insane. This site is so unfriendly to users and there are never forward thinking solutions to attract new users. This is an awesome outlet for Iowa Sportsman but it is so poorly executed that no one comes around anymore. I’m sure I’ll get flamed for posting this and the rebuttal will be that posts like this are the problem but most people know better.

It sounds as though the NRA and the Republicans are even pushing for Red Flag laws. When our so called freinds in Government are sticking it to us, we are a screwed.
The NRA of today is not the NRA your granddaddy grew up with and there’s a reason they are running a deficit of $18 million dollars. In fact, the most recent IRS Form 990 (2015) reveals that the ten most highly compensated key executives received $10.6 million dollars in 2015:
Wayne LePierre, CEO and Executive $5,110,985
Chris W. Cox, Executive Director ILA $1,450,842
Douglas Hamlin, Executive Director, Publications: $633,948
Michael Marcellin, Managing Director $607,969
Robert K. Weaver, Executive Director, General Ops $598,655
Wilson H. Phillips, Jr., Treasurer $591,207
Tyler Schropp, Executive Director, Advancement $580,302
David Lehman, Deputy Executive Director, ILA $424,191
John C. Frazier, Secretary and General Counsel: $328,446
James Baker, Director, ILA Federal $313,074llewellinsetterBlockedMarch 7, 2019 at 1:45 pmPost count: 2514llewellinsetterBlockedMarch 1, 2019 at 8:09 amPost count: 2514
I posted these on Sunday and they didn’t show until today. Odd I must be doing something wrong.
Par for the course anymore, most likely sitting in the cache “waiting for approval” while the staff is completely unaware. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, it’s like no one in charge of this site even cares that it is failing, even while members struggle to keep it alive. The potential is SO huge but the care is SO little.
Anyway, thanks for sharing the photos. My in-laws live in the Sierras and have been getting 3-4 feet of snow a night for the last month so it’s nice to see that others have similar cares in this world. Cheers.
Here’s a picture of their house from today…have to shovel because a new storm is expected overnight!

What are your thoughts on Peaches and Screams? As an early Christmas present, I want to get their Large Net Tank Chemise Dress
It’s like no one even bothers to care anymore. It’s been nearly two days and six of the ten posts on the homepage are spam. Too bad, so sad…what was and what could have been a great site is left to it’s own devices.llewellinsetterBlockedFebruary 24, 2019 at 2:11 pmPost count: 2514

I tried to post a link ebay showing a handful that are available, but nothing was posted as usual. Go to ebay and do a search and you will see what’s available.llewellinsetterBlockedJanuary 18, 2019 at 9:25 amPost count: 2514
And we still have twdenny.
Thats definitely the biggest drawback to the new site.
Don’t both of these posts actually break the rules posted on the new “What happens if I Break a Rule” post? Talk about being a hypocrite.

I don’t know about SE Iowa but if it’s anything like Central Southern Iowa, good luck with finding private unless you have already established some kind of relationship. Not to say it won’t happen, but it’s getting pretty slim to find people that let you hunt anymore, let alone for free. Best chance is to visit the local convenience stores, coffee shops, restaurants and bars and see what you can come up with. Often by chance you might run into someone that will let you or knows someone that will. Knocking on doors is pretty hard anymore.
That said, use the Iowa DNR atlas, Google Earth, ScoutLook and OnX maps. These are invaluable for scouting public lands when you can’t get a lot of time on the ground. OnX will also show you who owns what and where so you could make some phone calls that way. Good luck.llewellinsetterBlockedDecember 24, 2018 at 9:48 amPost count: 2514llewellinsetterBlockedDecember 1, 2018 at 5:42 pmPost count: 2514

I posted a recommendation with a link to the actual product but it disappeared as usual. Probably hung up in “SPAM” or I’m just delusional and there is nothing wrong with this site and it functions as it should. Anyway, check out the Dogtra 2700T&B. It’s better all around for numerous reasons.llewellinsetterBlockedNovember 19, 2018 at 7:30 pmPost count: 2514
Very interesting thread. This is a debate boys, no need to get riled up….anyway as I’m sure like has been said CO are trained men and they will be able to tell wheather or not yur hunting or photographing. They have common sense too, (there not idiots).
This is my point, most CO’s are on point and will understand the individuals intent pretty quickly. Based on the LAW, they can interpret INTENT and INTENT is everything. Cheers.
