Not all species of suckers spawn at the same time but white suckers, which are very common in the North country, spawn when water temps reach around 50 degrees.

I took my wife to eat in a BWW and saw the anti gun sign on the door. I figured then that this would be the last time I’d eat there. After eating their wings it was confirmed. Both the Mrs and I thought the wings sucked big time. If we both weren’t big wing fans the sign would have stopped us, but my stomach was talking loud. Never again.

What, no revolvers? I’d recommend a good Smith & Wesson wheelgun for your collection.

Like outdoorsron, I use Buss bedding. I began selling nightcrawlers when I was about 10 and I’m now 66 and I remember using buss back then and ever since. I believe it contains food too.

In 2001, my wife bought a Winchester ’94 in .44 mag to use on a bear hunt in Canada I bought her for Christmas. It sports a 16″ barrel which we found out was too short for Canadian regulations. It never got used and sat in the gun safe until now. She’s out there today trying to get her first kill with that firearm. I can tell you this about that gun. It shoots like a champ. As far as the sights go, we kept the iron sights on it as she is hunting in the timber.

I fish the Skunk occasionally just east of Colfax and have caught flatheads along with the channels. The last few years, smallmouth bass have been showing up. Good luck!

Doesn’t look like a bad watercraft, but notice the water conditions in the video. In every shot the water is calm. I’m sure this craft would be fine in those conditions but how would it do in choppy water? Not so well I’m guessing.

I used mine for the first time a few weeks ago while visiting the Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado. Upon entering the park you pass through the area where they collect the fees. The woman at the booth said the fee was $20, then says if anyone in the truck was 62 the fee would only be $10 and finally stated that if anyone on board had the federal pass it would be free. I just happened to have one! What a great deal! My pass more than paid for itself. Happy I was able to get it before the super price increase!

I’ve bought a lot of great bait from Joe’s Sporting Goods in Minneapolis. It’s only 3 blocks off I-35. Call them at 651-488-5511 and see what kinds of bait they have. I used to get suckers for ice out pike in Canada and when I called ahead they would always get what I asked for..

I was fishing ice out pike at Wheelers Dam with my wife several years ago and caught a pike with a lamprey attached. I pulled it off and thought I’d give the ole lady a scare. I threw it down at her boot and she picked it up and said, “Don’t throw this SOB at me!”, and threw it back at me. I should have known better. She’s female but she’s no sissy.

Congratulations Tommy! Thanks for posting this Len. That is really a nice pike and it is great to see it being handled so the chance for survival is good.

That is the coolest European mount I’ve seen yet. Wow!! If you do sell them, don’t let them go cheap.

Sorry to hear of this. Used to be a taxidermist in Osky by the name of Brian Mydosh (spelling?) who moved to Illinois years ago and he took my cinnamon coon with him. Sure would like to run into ole Brian again sometime…..
