You should have went south of #20 in that area on P6D. There’s a field with about 50 in it everyday.

x2 on the Contender. I live in northeast Iowa and planted one last year here on our new acreage and it produced over 40 peaches for us this year, tree was leaning over.

How big of a tree was it when planted? What was the cost of it? Thanks

They were on the north end of Brushy on Tuesday. They said most of the ice was 4” plus. Local ponds have 6” plus.

What are you using it for? You should be able to pick up a Nikon 440 for around $100

Anyone needs their stuff sharpened. Let me know.

Where are you located and do you sharpen knives? I had some sharpened at a restaurant supply place in Des Moines and was disappointed.

no knives. I just bought a new set of blades at bass pro. I had to grind them. I removed a few thousands from each side. To get them flat and parallel. After that then you can just lap them every year. Are your blades making circles on your plate? It should be equal(flat) all the way across. I live by Fort Dodge

The biggest problem I see is blades and plates that aren’t flat or sharp. I sharpen them for people and they say there grinders never worked this good new. Grind with largest plate first and second grind with a smaller plate if you like it fine. We go 1/2” then 3/8” for most.

It was 3” plus Alan. It did vary some just like all new ice. Moorland Pond has the same conditions.

There is a guy that comes to the Fort Dodge gun show in February. He buys and sells old BB guns. Maybe someone will know his name. I’ve sold to him and was satisfied with what we dealt on.

We fished it Sunday. Pretty slow for us. 3” to 5” of ice. Clear Lake bait and tackle will have up to date information.

I would trim it in the winter. Just remember that when you do it’s going to invite others to your spots.

When the prices of fur are up. Webster county is one of the most trapped places I’ve ever seen. Ask permission and set on sign. Just like anywhere else.
