I have lived in the country now close to 30 years.
living on my second acreage now, at my first one several years ago,
I was woke up by a guy standing in my living room. at about 9am ( I worked a 3rd shift)
He was Looking for “steven”…… funny thing was my house had been empty for the last six years.
I had my .45 next to my bed then, I said their isn’t any steven here or ever was , you need to leave …..
Here at my current residence I’ve had one other uninvited person,
that just walked right in about 9 pm,
I was in my kitchen making dinner, that was in straight view of my door.
He was looking for the previous owner, I told this guy that I’ve been here 6 months, and Chris lived in town…..
    .
Maybe I was lucky to be a light sleeper, in the first case.. yeah me bad! I didn’t lock my door…..
Looking back at that guy that was looking for steven…..he was a very shady looking individual.

I lock my door every night now even well before bed time. the world is full of bad,
I sleep with a .45 within 3′ of my bed, Louisville slugger in the hall, and a 12ga pump to get any intruders attention in the dark 😈

I do need to get my fire extinguisher recharged though 🙄

If you want to learn more about coins and values, buy a Whitman coin book, or commonly called the red book
Coin values depend on many things , condition, where they were minted, year, a 1909 Indian head penny could be worth a few bucks to over a thousand dollars= 1909 s mint
Error coins, Or a three legged buffalo nickel ,
Or the amount of coins minted from certain US mints….
Often referred to as “key dates”
1877 Indian head penny only 852,500 coins made that year
Depending on condition it could be worth a couple hundred to a few thousand dollars
Where and Indian head penny from 1876 ,might fetch 40 bucks or more. At one year older….. almost 8 million were produced.

Do you have a map of the lake?
The island is on the south side of the big lake. If it’s not Orchard street, It might be Bayside str.
You should be able to wade to the island, If you are wanting to fish off the North end it is easier to walk up the trail to the North end,
lots of BIG rocks out there (watch your footing a rolling waves from boaters) I’ve seen many guys wade and get either swamped by waves, or
trip on boulders & fall face down often breaking their rods 😈
If your thinking of wading around the island the East side is easier than the West side.
the West side is like trying to walk on a mix of million bowling balls and soft ball sized river rocks 😈
It is possible BUT, it will test your ankle strength…

correction, Richard Harris played Zach Bass in the Man in the wilderness,
that perhaps was supposed to represent Hugh Glass….

Hugh glass was the character that Richard Harris played in the man in the wilderness. So is the movie the reverant like a modern remake?
Still looks like a great movie think I’ll have to see.

Anyone who would vote for that woman, aside from her gun control stance, is a fool or is a product of the entitlement generation. That woman would sink the US into a hole we may never get out of

I wonder do people remember, when she fell and smacked her head 2 different times, a few years ago….That woman has brain damage.

So many to choose from, Makes, frame sizes and caliber too.
I just looked at a local gun shop yesterday, to see what santa could bring me…… 😉
Saw a nice Smith and Wesson for $1100 that would go nice in my 1911 collection 😀
I wouldn’t use one (full sized frame) for CCW. unless maybe a smaller one like a commander size/ with smaller sized caliber.
I have 2 others I prefer to use for carrying, xdm 9 , or a Taurus millennium 45.
I think 1911’s are the best made, solid, semi auto pistols -vs- Poly/striker semi auto pistols.
1911’s are great fun to shoot, but mostly end up becoming gun-safe queens.

I’ve been ready to detect all winter. Spring has come a few days early!
I went out a few times last weekend, nothing old but 2 days of hunting with a new detector (AT Pro)
over 5 and a half dollars in clad, and a tootsie toy. I found 17 coins in one hole, and 7 coins in another.
happy hunting! love those old coins! 😀

I’ve caught a few in Mason City s’ Big blue pit, and caught them in other city pits.
Don’t know if they were transplanted by 5 gallon pails or fish eggs on duck feet ?

    Check out these idiots .

Now being so FAMOUS and such awesome fishermen!
I hope that they will have no luck at getting permission to fish or hunt ANY private places after this
    at least we could hope?
but still have to share a public ground or public fishing hole with them.
    SLOBS plain and simple!
really? smiling for your mug shot, A proud achievement in their lives.
Uncle Ted would give them the GOMER AWARD !
A lot of people have worked their tails off to make the tournament a reality.
If there is one next year, I think these 2 dorks should have to clean all the fish, and publicly apologize.

    Jiffy lazer mag?

Jiffy never made a “lazer mag” to my knowledge.

The Lazer Mag is a common auger made by strikemaster.

To my knowledge the ion will drill about an 8in hole throught the ice. on less then 15in you should get over 20 holes with easy probably closer to 40 holes.

Electric auger work well and hve there time and place. You might just want to have your current auger tuned up, and keep for a backup or wait to sell it until after you find and test a suitable replacement.

If you are looking for electric, I would check into using an electric drill with the clam plate setup. A clam plate with a high end good brushless drill that dewalt, milwaukee, or makita make with the high torque ratings on a clam plate are absolutley impressive.

I have a jiffy model 30, and put a clam plate together using a milwaukee fuel 18volt brushless drill with 4amp lithium batteries. I cut 40 holes with 8in of ice with a lot of battery left. thing wieghts like 12 lbs where the jiffy is like 35lbs. I kept the jiffy just for a backip or for fishing trips with really thick ice that i’ll be on the ice for a few days since recharging the electric batteries would be hard to do.

Opps me bad I guess I had a brain fart, yep Strikemaster lazer mag. I just had another birthday, I need to get my eyes checked too. 😆 Thanks for the imput guys 😀
