And yes Canada is less godly, has no corporal punishment, plays the same video games we do and yet they have a much lower rate of gun deaths. Why? Fewer guns!

    Quite few less people too..

I was not going to weigh in but I feel strongly that something must be done. I Do not blame any gun.. The gun is simply a tool.. Could have easily pulled the alarm and then ran down the kids in the parking lot with a car. People are affixed to the AR and blame it, to me as I said its just a tool. in a different platform like say a Ruger Mini-14 it looks nothing like an AR, wood stock 20 round cap.. same .Cal just looks different. Its Ok to hunt with those and shoot target with them because they look normal or what people see as Normal. I steer away from saying its the gun. So what is it? To me its Mental Health, I am willing to bet that most if not all these kind of shooters are on Anti-Depressant drugs or some kind of a drug for something. He had a history already that people saw and did nothing about.. So it was only a matter of time before it went this way. I am also in favor of Having Armed security and allowing Teacher, properly trained teacher, to conceal carry. Here’s my thought on this. It’s Like Nuclear deterant.. We don’t start stuff with each other because we know the other has a Nuke so we play nice. If you have a handful of teachers along with security armed and trained, the kids do not know who has the guns. They are risking being shot the minute they pull out their own gun to start this. If the football coach that was killed in Florida, was CC he could have been a Weapon not just a Shield and maybe stopped this kid before so much life was lost. I am sick as anyone that this stuff continues to happen and I do believe what Llewellin is saying.. The fabric of our Nation has changed.. When I was a kid we always brought our guns to school in our cars or trucks so we could go hunting after class. There were NEVER school shootings. Nobody went and got their gun if they had a fight. They just delt with it via fist to cuffs. We have moved away from the golden rule and earning what you get. Now everyone gets participation awards for nothing simply because we are afraid they might get their feelings hurt. If you were not good enough you didnt make the team.. You worked hard and tried again next season. You Respected people. Today there is no respect for anyone else. Its always me first… I know the world is not perfect, but dang we have to work harder at being better to each other. Give more then you get and always stay humble.

My Grandma used to say “you cannot Hide from the evil things in the world and you cannot prevent evil people from doing evil things” I guess it means you cannot stop crazy.. My Prayers are to the families of the victims.

I have always used Tritronics and had very good success. It really comes down to what options you want and cost as they all work well.

Yes, within a mile or so of each other. similar genetics i suppose. Seems like all the bucks down where I hunt tend to junk out a little as Typical bucks. Both would be main frame 8s with lots of junk off them. And all tall.
Here is a better pic of the one in my profile.

Well Im 50 and had not shot my first buck i would mount until 08. so basically my whole life of hunting it was not until recently that I was successful. Being 21 you still have a lifetime of hunting to look forward to! Keep those memories alive.

OH My! That is a good story, I shot the only buck i put in Pope and Young record books, after missing it twice and dropping my last arrow, had to climb down get the arrow and climb back up, lucky he was chasing a doe and came back around for his coup de gras! Very lucky to shoot and miss 2 times point blank. One literally directly below me. then to finally arrow him pure luck. He only went 35 yards. Those are the stories that need to be told and passed on with the deer. I am sure every deer someone shoots has a great story.

I wanted him turned into the room so thats why the mount that way. I have lately been writing the story of each buck i shoot and putting it in an envelope behind the mount. That way when I finally do go the story of that deer is not lost. I figure someday they may go to someone who does not know me so knowing how it was taken and when would be cool info.

Jamie, I am truely sorry to hear this. please please dont let the doctors tell you when your expiration date is. Fight this. Do whatever you can or whatever it takes to fight it. In the end if it wins you know you went to battle and never gave in to it. I will keep you and your family in our prayers and hope truely you have a miracle, they happen. Believe… Thank you for thinking about getting your dogs to a loving home, that tells me all i need to know about you. Thinking of your dogs and wife first in such a trying time. I wish i could take them myself but with two dogs already my wife would not have it. Best of luck. V/r Dana Mc.
