Seats still available and can they be purchased at the door?
in reply to: HD Hen Turkey Decoy #1555346Hey Scruffy, I’ve got a avian x hen decoy and a DSD jake decoy. The DSD is defiantly a step up in realism and durability. You’ll be happy with the purchase.
in reply to: Reloading help available if needed. #1558584Good for you and everyone! I was lucky to find someone local (and a member of this site) back in the day. Totally changed my world as far as firearms go.
in reply to: Sharpening Stone Suggestions #1559127Might have missed it but didn’t see the Wicked Edge sharpening system mentioned. Not cheap by a long shot but I said long ago I wasn’t going to keep buying expensive knives unless I could really properly sharpen them.
And no i don’t have the system but haven’t bought anymore of those knives either.
I’ve done Arkansas stones, the lansky system, the spyderco sharpmaker, and haven’t been happy with any of them. Like the spyderco best of them. Wicked Edge is on my short list.
Good luck, that’s a good present for Dad.

Wouldn’t it be “one” of the two shotgun seasons?
Nope 😆 😆 😆

SO I WAS WONDERING TONIGHT, WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF I WOULD SHOOT A DEER CLOSE TO SUNSET, AND COULDN’T FIND IT. I GO OUT IN THE MORNING TO TRY AND FIND IT, AND BUMP IT. I HAVE TO LET A INJURED DEER TURN IN TO COYOTE FOOD ? I COULDN’T FINISH IT OFF BECAUSE THE SEASON IS CLOSED, IS THIS CORRECT. BECAUSE IT WOULD BE PERCEIVED BY SOME THAT I WAS STILL HUNTING CORRECT ?
As long as you stop typing in all caps, do whatever you want. Man that shit is annoying.
But no more than the daily spam.
But yes… deer season ends when deer season ends. 😉

Good Info. Never realized the CHIPS would move in the body. I thought they always put them in the ear. Also did not know a “universal scanner/wand” might be needed.
THANKS again for the info and Happy Ending story!
Never heard of them put in the ear. Mine was chipped in the back, per Spionhounds advice I regularly have the vet check to make sure the chip is working. It has never migrated.
As to the original post, well done to the OP! Glad the dog got back to it’s family.

All you guys needing a “tool” to turn your nockturnals off. .. . . you know your arrow has a pointy end?!?! Absolutely no need for a separate tool. . . . Use either a field point or BH if you are hunting. I shoot a dozen arrows at a time with nockturnals, and have all 12 turned off by the time I get back to my bow where im shooting. . .
Anyhow, if you are not afraid to spend the money, Firenocks are the way to go. Nockturnals were good before Rage bought them out. QC is garbage now. I still shoot them, but I dont mind sending several a year back to be replaced by the company. Once you find good ones, there are no issues. Might just go through some duds to get good ones.
😆 😆
Every part of that is hilarious!! You funny.
😆
in reply to: Lighted Nocks – What do you shoot? #1560869Used nocturnal last season on a friend’s suggestion. HATED them! They would turn on randomly and if shot through something they clogged up. Didn’t like needing a tool to turn them off either. Switched back to lumenok and am happy.
