I’m looking to replace my Bridgestone shelters at on my truck after 4 years and almost 70000 miles, will be putting the exact thing back on again! Happy with the performance and wear, just wish they made a 10 ply.

Thanks for the great response guys!

After researching the suggestions you all had, I’m kinda looking now at getting into a helix 5 or 7 depends on how the cash flow looks in the next couple months.

Have an older minn Kota trolling motor, no I pilot; but would like to possibly upgrade to one with I pilot one day. For really have a set species that I fish for, nor a favorite lake, basically just fish wherever we want to camp for the weekend.

Drive past clear lake in Ventura this morning early on and from what I could see it look like the lake was capped all the way across the little lake.

Pretty hard to go wrong with any of those older IH tractors like you mentioned, fairly easy to find a good used one, easy to find parts, and very durable. Cheap horsepower and can run almost anything you would be looking for. I would reccomend the 66 series myself, we still use a 1066 and 966 on our farm.

Surprisingly managed to get the weekend off after multiple weeks of not being able to, is it still possible to register tonight at the surf?

I only ever fished the hard water twice in the 4 years i was there for school, both times i just started out from the golf course cove and just kept moving till i found deeper water or fish. Both times I caught decent numbers of gills and crappies on minnows and waxies. I fished it a lot during soft water and pulled some monster crappies and bass out of the coves towards the north end of the lake. Good luck, please post a report if you make it down, I am heading down for an alumni function and would consider taking the gear down if the ice is good.

I ran applicator all fall as well as driving around for deer season and some ice fishing, and I can say that I am pleasantly surprised with how many birds I have seen overall. Its been a long time since I have gone a day without seeing at least 10 or so birds, most have been hens, but still seeing a fair number of roosters. In the few hunts that I have been on this fall I have gotten 3 birds, more than I have gotten the last 3 years. Hopefully this is a sign things may be on the rebound, cautiously optimistic anyway!

I live not far from silver lake in worth county and supposedly according to a few guys at work the lake is full of carp after the state killed it off a few years ago. They kinda made it sound like the state is planning to drain it down and kill it off again in the future.
