    Hopefully none! 🙂

I fish to relax, never understood the need to make it a competition, other than between me and the fish!

With that being said, more power to ya if that’s your thing.   I know people love it, but there is nothing worse than getting up before dark to get to your favorite lake bright and early, and finding a line of boats waiting to launch for a tourneament LOL.

Interesting read.  I agree with Whip, there have been several “outfitters” in the area getting caught doing all kinds of things.  I don’t think that is a good idea.

Hope you find it, don’t even know where Maffit is. 🙂  If it was around here you wouldn’t be able to see it with the snow we are getting now!

Still 6 inches here in SE Iowa, we didn’t get much from the storm as far as rain or snow.  Slight warm up last week didn’t hurt the ice at all.

Fished two ponds this weekend in SE Iowa in the Fairfield area.  5.5 and 6 inches of ice, good ice too.  Hope this small warm spell doesn’t hurt us any.

Dang I would love to get out.  New pup this year that’s not ready so I haven’t gone, but maybe if it was just her it would be a good learning opportunity

I’m afraid Darling has already been overfished.  Lots of small ones left but last time I crappie fished there this fall they were all 7-8 inches

Why is this thread showing up when I don’t see a new post?

Thanks for the heads up Todd.  No ice down here yet, hopefully after this warmth this morning we can start to really build some.

I would, yes.  But I’m not a video guy.

That would be cool.  I don’t usually watch videos, but that doesn’t mean that most wouldn’t enjoy them.

Remember this weekend is first season shotgun.  So if you go out to scout (not sure I would since it’s first season) be sure to where lots of orange and be ready to deal with some angry hunters!

Interesting.  How do you think the longevity will compare?
