I love Carlson choke tubes for my Mossberg. I have an Improved and Modified choke for mine. I am also hoping to get a long range choke soon for later in the goose season. The modified does pretty good out to 40-50 yards with Hevi Metal shot (good suggestion guys per earlier threads) on geese, hope to soon find out how it works on Mallards when I get them in my sights. I seldom use the improved cylinder unless I am after pheasants (with steel shot). Carlson’s seem to be a pretty good brand:-)CedarStorm1975ParticipantOctober 19, 2011 at 7:16 pmPost count: 2006
People hammer on Mossbergs…..as an proud owner of one, when I am not using it to hunt with, it’s protecting my home w/#4 buckshot and a full magazine. They are great guns, and have an unmistakable sound when putting rounds into the chamber:-). Good story, in this day and age with home invasions on the rise……CedarStorm1975ParticipantOctober 19, 2011 at 5:09 pmPost count: 2006

It takes a big man to admit he lost his waders……I AM NOT A BIG MAN!!
Honestly, this thread makes me feel pretty good cause I’m a new waterfowl hunter this year and the first time I walked into the mud with my waders (barrowed from a friend) I thought i was stuck for sure.
Haha, thanks 😛 !CedarStorm1975ParticipantOctober 19, 2011 at 5:06 pmPost count: 2006

Fly tying materials and tools are no longer available:-)! Would be willing to trade the Ice Shack for a smaller one man used one OR an old aluminum/fiberglass canoe- looking for one for duck season this year. I can travel wherever within reason to pick it up:-)!
