I actually have an interstate battery in my boat. Have never done anything to it before or after winter storage and its always held a charge all winter long, going on at least 7 years now on this battery. I have actually left the radio on in the boat a couple of times and ran the batter completely dead. Just jump started it off of my trolling batteries and after running the motor for 15-20 minutes the battery is charged back up. I will say that this interstate battery has been great!

I hear stories like that too. I had a customer come in a while back that bought a set of AGM’s from us. The interstates he had in there were from 2005, and had just given out on a recent fishing trip up north 😯 But I think a lot of it has to do with how you treat batteries, the type of charger you use, and how hard they get used during the season. 7 years is pretty good for any battery B)
