Sorry to here this Ken. Pat was a nice lady, glad I had the chance to meet her at the Plan B outing.. What I remember most is she had the little dog that had its vocal chords clipped and could not bark.
That little dog was a rescue from am puppy mill. Thy were going to put her down because she was bred out and diabetic.MaverickParticipantMay 10, 2016 at 5:31 pmPost count: 4709IaCraigParticipantMay 10, 2016 at 5:51 pmPost count: 1709brittlabParticipantMay 10, 2016 at 7:47 pmPost count: 15103.5 tensParticipantMay 11, 2016 at 12:11 amPost count: 434

"I have always had a soft spot in my heart for marshes. They challenge me to come and look. Their capacity for mothering wild life is far greater than the drier uplands, no matter how beautiful they may be. It seems to me that no man is closer to the beginning of things and the eternal motherhood of the outdoors than when he is familiar with a marsh."tracyiowa53ParticipantMay 11, 2016 at 12:23 amPost count: 444WhipParticipantMay 11, 2016 at 12:29 amPost count: 2423SadieMaeParticipantMay 11, 2016 at 1:22 amPost count: 306dogdownParticipantMay 11, 2016 at 1:48 amPost count: 673calParticipantMay 11, 2016 at 2:17 amPost count: 2629ridgerocketParticipantMay 11, 2016 at 2:25 amPost count: 544crowslayer17ParticipantMay 11, 2016 at 3:48 amPost count: 780mtpolitoParticipantMay 11, 2016 at 6:10 amPost count: 164sandmanParticipantMay 11, 2016 at 7:17 pmPost count: 2632DGormanParticipantMay 11, 2016 at 7:21 pmPost count: 1853kenhumpParticipantMay 11, 2016 at 7:45 pmPost count: 12769
Thanks to all for the support and prayers. The pain and numbness are wearing off and the hole in my life is becoming huge. Our big poodle is sticking to me like glue. My priorities and bucket list are all changed. I’ve been lucky to meet so many great people on this site, it is comforting now. Hunt safe, fish hard and ‘carpet diem’.
