I’m looking at purchasing some foot hold traps that will be probably MB 550’s. There is a high likely hood of incidental catches of dogs. What would be the best type of jaws. Offest, rubber padded, or laminated?

My mb’s with offset jaws do very little foot damage

You want off sets. I even caught the neighbors cat one time and it was fine after a couple days. The offsets will catch everything. And will love the MB 550 so much you may never buy a different trap again!

My focus will be suburban nuisance coyotes.

Then you definitely want mb550 offsets. The offsets will help avoid any incidental dog injury
