In regards to all the posts about SCORING The rack on a certain buck. As a deer hunter who has hunted deer in iowa for 40 plus years, I still do not understand everybodys big thing about WHAT WILL MY DEER SCORE. I have harvested many big bucks in this 40 year period , both with a gun and a bow and have not SCORED a single one. I have also harvested many a doe and remember them as much as I do the bucks. I personally Enjoy the hunt Whether it be small game or large game. Maybe it is just me But sometimes I think that some hunters( I am not saying all hunters by any means) Are to hung up on the wrong thing. I am sure this will upset alot of people, but it is just my opinion.jerdog515ParticipantOctober 31, 2013 at 12:58 amPost count: 357YankParticipantOctober 31, 2013 at 1:15 amPost count: 3351luckyguyParticipantOctober 31, 2013 at 4:08 amPost count: 819

sangman62, you don’t know me. I hunt because I enjoy it and if i shoot a buck or doe i’m happy either way. People like you are why many have stopped posting on this sight. Make your own thread
Don’t post if you aren’t guessing a score, jerdog wasn’t asking your opinion on anything else.

Yeah its no surprise with all the T.V shows and hunting Vids, and hunting channels that “Score” I have even caught myself tell my buddy I want to shoot somthing thats 130+
I started thinking about how stupid it sounds. Its kind of sad you can get a nice Mature deer that looks beautiful and big, and all anyone seems to care about is what did it score, then next thing is they want to tell you how big their deer in previous years were or how big they’re buddies is.
Its became a antler measuring contest. Kind of sad
Tell your wife congrats on the nice buck. Thats a beautyjerdog515ParticipantOctober 31, 2013 at 11:46 amPost count: 357MuskieManParticipantOctober 31, 2013 at 2:25 pmPost count: 217
