There have been a lot of deer on here with guesses of what they scored. So here is a pic of my wife’s muzzy buck, so take your guesses. Gross score I don’t use nets!
All this ” score this ” is weird ? Last year people would post a pic and tell a story? This year it seems as if people are stuck on the gross or net ? Wonder if any one else is getting this notion?
^^After Looking at it more I think your right. He has some pretty good mass but is really lacking in length. I think probably 142 or 3. cool looking buck though!

I usually don’t post much but here is some story for you
This the first year that my wife went early muzzle loader I bought her one for Christmas last year. She had the flu for the first weekend and couldn’t go out. She was going to shoot anything that came out. Friday night a doe and really young fawn come out, which she said our labs were bigger. The doe left the field and about 30 min later this guy shows up just peaking out of the timber. He slowly made his way across the field and she took the shot at 75 yards and he ran about 100. Not bad for her first buck.

Yep, I was thinking the same thing. Why has the score of a deer become so important that it is emphasized more than the hunt and have we really become so absorbed in the trophy we forget about the value of the hunt?

And I dont care about the score or I would have posted earlier but it seems like everyone likes to guess. I don’t post stories anymore bc most of the time I wouldn’t get many comments anyway bc I’m not a regular poster or someone claims a shed is cut off a deer or something
