You can also pick up a sportsman’s atlas at Wal-Mart that has this information for all public lakes and rivers.
I bought a book at Wally world that has a blue cover and has quite a few lakes covered. In the back is quite a few interior rivers as well as the Miss. Put ins as well as stream descriptions…
Get this book, Paddling Iowa: https://www.amazon.com/Paddling-Iowa-Outstanding-Journeys-Canoe/dp/0615579477
Lists a bunch of Iowa paddling trips, along with info on access points, camping, fishing, scenery, etc. Great book.
