    On May 19th the Central Iowa Kayak Anglers will be hosting a multi-species tournament at Quarry Springs in Colfax Iowa.

    This is a unique tournament in that you are measuring your largest bass, catfish, and panfish, and awarded bonus points for any other species.

    Schedule
    5:30-6:30 am Registration
    6:45 am Captain’s Meeting
    7:00 am Launch
    1:00 pm Weigh-In

    Entry Fees (Cash Only)
    $25.00 Entry Fee
    $5.00 Big Fish Pot
    Payout for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place (60/30/10%)

    Looks like a good time, but I don’t have a kayak. Maybe someday.

    Looks neat, they have walleyes in there? My kayak has a motor though and it looks like those are against the rules… 🙂

    There are walleye. And perch as well. There’s even the possibility of some stray pike in there but I don’t have first-hand knowledge of any confirmed catches.

    Was friends with the owners son. Not many people were allowed to fish it back in the day. There used to be some really nice fish in there back then.
