Been out everyday since july16 th on public ground and am seeing a good number of broods. some quite large with 10 to 12 chicks and other with 1 or 2. Also lots of late hatches. What i’m seeing is good numbers were carried over and fairly good nesting which was a surprise. I think numbers are up a little over last yr.bluedirtParticipantJuly 31, 2018 at 2:12 pmPost count: 90
Sprayed fencelines & cut volunteer trees in CRP yesterday. Did not flush a bird. Huge, late spring rains in this area. N Kossuth Co. Hope others are spotting more.kenhumpParticipantAugust 1, 2018 at 5:16 pmPost count: 12769
Dirt, about the same over here in Dickinson and west. Rain beat us up bad.SADIEHAWKINSParticipantAugust 18, 2018 at 10:07 amPost count: 198
Was out 2 days ago in another public area dogs pointed 2 large broods probably 15 birds total. If the DNR counts are down it’ll keep the outta staters away so probably same amount of opportunities for locals.
