Just looking at the DNR hunting atlas and am wondering what is the difference between a managed DNR hunting area and a non mananaged DNR hunting area.

Is one managed by the county and the other by the state perhaps? I know of lots of public hunting areas that are not listed on the DNR site because they are owned/managed by the county.

Pretty sure nonDNR = Count Conservation Board. I’ve been looking at that Atlas pretty much daily for 2 weeks.
