So I joined the Kayak club. I went on the internet for storage recommondations, holy crap!
Any in put welcome, along with pics would be great.
I have a 10ft yak, I sit now with 2 12in brackets ball park 3ft. in from each end.
I have it on it’s side, *censored*pit to the wall. Inside, attached garage.
Wondering if this is ok.dkwolfParticipantJune 28, 2017 at 1:05 pmPost count: 3697
Should be fine. I stored my 14.5′ for three years that way.HomerjParticipantJune 28, 2017 at 1:16 pmPost count: 522
Thanks, some of the websites made Kayaks sound more fragile than eggs.katfishParticipantJune 28, 2017 at 1:54 pmPost count: 73
It all depends on the brand and model of kayak. One I used to have recommended that it is stored on its side. The one I have now is supposed to be stored flat. The problem is when it gets hot out, some models will warp is stored improperly. I have had that happen too… kind of a buzz kill.
