Anybody know of any places around the DSM or Iowa City area (I commute back and forth for work) to buy some game birds so I can train my GSP? I used to buy birds from bird farm in De Soto, but the owner left Iowa.
    Thanks!

I do not have any at the moment, but am raising coturnix quail, and should have a pretty good number by mid April. Feel free to message me.

I should add that I am not going to be selling them, just using them for training. I wouldn’t mind providing some to a small group that wanted to pool resources and train.

I was looking into this PDF and there is a guy close to my house.

Question for you all. How many does one typically buy?

I just want a few at a time for training. I was looking into this and people are saying like 50 birds. I thought that was a bit much. But I am new to training my dog on birds so maybe I am just confused.
