My son and I are thinking of starting coyote hunting. Could I take the carcasses to a fur buyer?  Would I get much for a carcass vs a skinned fur?  I know there is a buyer in Wellsburg and one in Carroll.  I can’t imagine leaving the carcasses laying on the farm. Thanks in advance!

To me its not worth it to skin as I wouldn’t  get that many.  I put them in the deep  freeze until the sale.  Others may want to skin them out.    Call the Buyer in Wellsburg and ask him the difference in price so you know.  Don’t understand your thought on the  carcass on the farm part.

My thought on the carcass is only that, a thought-and maybe a wrong one. I assumed coyote hunters here skinned out the animal and did not leave the carcass. Being that I don’t have the skill to do that, I figured it would be best to take it to someone who could. I read some other sites and found the practice of leaving the kill on the ground widespread.
