My buds and I are tinking about heading south to possibly Illinois or Missouri for a mid to late april fishing trip for a few days. Does anyone have any tips on what areas are good for crappies/bluegills and other panfish. I was particularilly interested in the lake of the ozarks, as we may want to play a little golf as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Truman resevoir in Missouri, Never fished it but have driven over/ by a few times and it looks like it has a ton of flooded timber. I bet there are a ton of panfish in it as well. But I am basing this on driving by so who knows. Have a fun trip
I fished Truman about the same time a few years ago. Didn’t catch much. We stayed at the Bucksaw resort. Friendly guides that said fish in the flooded timber. You had to be on a cedar tree.
I wouldn’t go back this early.
