Scheels no longer has store brand scopes.  I’ve been seeing these on used rifles and finding it difficult to value the combo.  Were these a rebranded Bushnell Banner or a Nikon Monarch or a …?  Are they reliable enough to take on a hunting trip or just a reasonably clear glass for plinking at the local range?

There are some reviews on other forums.  Most of them complaining about the seals going out and raving about Scheels customer service.  That makes me iffy, customer service means didly when I’m in a valley 300 miles from the store.

Scheels outfitter scopes on my opinion are mid level scopes, they will get you by, but if you can afford better always opt for that.  Especially where it sounds like yo uare going.

    Thanks for the reply Kendar.

More digging shows the old Scheels scopes were rebrands of different manufacturers and models manufactured to Scheels specs.  The new scopes are co-branded Scheels and Vortex.
