Looking for some cheap herbicide for grass and also some for broadleaf control. Anyone know if http://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/gordons-amine-400-2-4-d-weed-killer-1-qt?cm_vc=-10005 would work in a clover plot? Also if they have something similar for grasses? Don’t have a huge plot so just want something as cheap as possible.e.fork-walleyeParticipantMarch 27, 2016 at 11:13 pmPost count: 171
If you are looking to control all the broadleafs in your grass and save your grass, the 2-4-d will do the trick. The 2-4-d will kill your clover plot.mr.icefishingParticipantMarch 27, 2016 at 11:56 pmPost count: 726
Clethodin…not sure on the spelling. Will kill the grasses and not the clover.mr.icefishingParticipantMarch 27, 2016 at 11:58 pmPost count: 726
Also, anything that will kill broad leaves will kill the clover, so you’ll want to be careful.bowhunter87ParticipantMarch 28, 2016 at 12:16 amPost count: 275
24db also known as butyrac will kill broad-leaves in a clover plot. It’s not super strong though so you want to get it down when the plants are small. Clethodim with crop oil will kill grasses. You don’t want to spray both at the same time. Keystone pest is where I have ordered some from online. If you only have money for 1 I would spray for grasses. Mowing usually takes care of most broad-leaves.
