Was wondering if anyone could provide some insight on current ice conditions on Clear Lake? I’m in the Iowa City area, and we effectively have no ice…..at least not worth risking. And I admittedly have the itch.
Anybody catching anything? Starting to look like it may be a slow or no year for hard water, although we all know that that Canada blast could change things any time.

No help here, I’m an hour south of you and my new drill and auger are collecting dust. I’m also about ready to head north, this weather sucks!hotrodParticipantJanuary 6, 2020 at 2:14 pmPost count: 462
Clear Lake can be a tough one, the ice is great and fish are there.
My best advice for that lake is to travel light and keep moving until you find your desired fish. The more people in your group the better.
***If you are on Facebook, find and “Like” Clear Lake Bait and Tackle, good info about ice and the bite.
