What is the advantage of 55gr in .243 instead of 22-250? Is it just to offer a guy with one small bore (in .243) the option?

It gives you a better a better b/c out of the 243 and you are able to push then as fast as a 22-250. The big thing that I se is that with the 243 vs the 22-250 is that when you are talking 243 they are not really fur friendly when you start pushing the 70-85gr bullets but with the 55gr you have a better chance of not tearing them up that bad. Plus they make a red mist when you are on a prairie dog town. It also gives you a little better option of bullet choices.
