Well it has been a long time in coming trying to get our and hunt. I got out to one of my tree stands tonight. Pretty windy out of the south east. But I thought it finally beats working. About 4:30 I see a coyote a 100yds away. It is hunting rodents in the grass. It is slowly moving my way. I think what the heck, I might as well get ready if it comes close. At about 50 yards it slows down so I lip squeak. I don’t know what I am doing but I hear Scruffy talk about it on here and people say it works. Yote looks my way and comes in fast. Stops at 25 yards and turns broadside. Bad mistake.Right through the breadbasket. 125 grain Muzzy. Nice hole. She made it 75 yards, blood going everywhere. Nice female. No mange. I stayed in the stand the rest of the night. Saw 2 small bucks just cruising through and 1 doe. Nice to be out.

Man, buddy, you sure did unzip that yote. Holy cow, that’s a nasty wound. There’s no way you could have missed that blood trail! Nice work!

I wondered if you did. That sure was a lousy weather day when we hunted, lightning and such following us around… one of these days we need to head out again, get another coyote on the ground.

Scruffy I would love to do it again sometime. I saw 7 yotes last year at one time in the stand they are there.

Nice yote. When I first saw the pic I thought cool someone shot a gray fox. The coloration is almost perfect for those little guys! Great first night out!

Great job. I shot my first coyote with the bow on Saturday. No lip squeaking for me as he came down a trail near my stand.
